In the early morning hours of July 11, 2004, one of the most respected and beloved members of the air medical community made her final ascent following a tenacious battle against cancer. Michelle North, aviator, teacher, administrator, author, and great friend to anyone who ever met her, will be missed as few have.
Not only was she a champion of safety in air medical transport, her bigger messages were about heeding the call of common sense, and enjoying life. Throughout her struggle to live, her spirit and sense of humor remained unconquered. She lived her message.
