Trying to get some information from other programs regarding CPAP masks, pros and cons for use in air medical.  What do you use, cost, issues with specific vents, etc.  Also looking to see if any programs are using any automated CPR compression devices such as the LUCAS, Autopulse or another device during transport.  Any suggestions or comments are welcome.

Thanks

Karen

We use Flowsafe CPAP for straight up CHF, or NIPPV using IPAP/EPAP on our vent for COPD exac. The disposable CPAP's cost ranges $25-60 per unit. We also use the LUCAS for CPR no issue other then getting the board under them in the AC after spinal motion restriction is complete. Much better if you anticipate a code to pre-load the board under the patient. Regards

What aircraft do you use?

Are you looking for a CPAP system or a mask to use with an existing vent or system?
