Does anyone have recommendations for securing a Philips Heartstart MRx to a stretcher while going from unit to ambulance? Is the best way still the hook on the back of the headrest? Looking for thoughts.

At times I place the monitor besides the patient's legs on the stretcher and secure it with the bottom strap. This all depends on patient size and what other equipment they require (vent, multiple pumps etc)

You can try in between legs or to the side of the legs ems_heart%20.jpg

It really depends on your patient, aircraft and stretcher type. As much as I dislike the monitor trays that attach to the end of the stretcher, they do allow you to maintain the patient flat if condition warrants and allows person at the head, a great view of the monitor from the head.

FL, it's getting harder to find patients "average-sized" to rig the monitor between their legs anymore :-0
