Checking to see if anyone has had issues with stress fractures or breaks in the polycarbonate used in sled material?
We recently had a LifePort Aerosled develop multiple cracks and breaks in the polycarbonate where the supporting metal frame went into the polycarbonate material of the sled. The breaks happened suddenly and were audible. We were in the process of unloading the patient and placing him on the waiting cart at the time of the break, making it difficult to control the sled. Patient weight was 285 pounds, which we all know in today's world that is pretty much the norm. After unloading the patient of the sled we noted 8 out of the 12 were cracked, broken or had complete holes in the polycarbonate.
Has anyone else had any issues like this?
