       Eagle III

On April 13, 2006, Eagle III Pilot James Vincent was killed in a helicopter crash during a maintenance flight.

This guest book is open for anyone that would like to offer their messages of support. Please remember not to ask questions or be critical of the circumstances regarding this incident.

I only learned of Jim’s death recently. Jim and I go back to our days in the Navy when we served together on the USS Elmer Montgomery in 1984. Jim was a Second Class Electricans Mate with a strong desire to fly. I will always remember Jim’s integrity and spirit. In this day and age Jim is one of those people that we will find it hard to do without.

    CWO4 Joe Lyons USCG
US Coast Guard - Baltimore, Maryland

I am truly sorry to here of Jim's Death. I served with him as a reservist at CGAS Humboldt Bay, CA

    LT Jim Hotchkiss
    USCGR - Redding, CA

I too was a roomate of Mr. Vincent's for several weeks in the USCG's Officer Candidate School back in 1989. He was truly a Godsend to me at that time in my life. Jim helped me personally and many of us get through that program through his warmth, faith and sense of humor. You are missed my friend and my condolences go out to your family.

    Jeff Price
Metropolitan State College of Denver - denver, CO

Mr. Vincent and I flew on many SAR cases together in the Coast Guard. I will always remember his kindness, quick-witted humor and infectious laughter. Once when my 6 yr old son was visiting me at work, Mr. Vincent gave him a lollipop. His nickname in my family since then has been the lollipop man. I will really miss you lollipop man. May God watch over and hold your loved ones close to his heart.

    AMT1 David Scott

I remember when I was at the County Rescue Family Picnic and my mother and I had won a free ride in the Eagle lll Helicopter. Jim was the pilot. I had to sit up in the front of the helicoptor with him and he was very nice. I am grateful that I got to spend that time with him. My prayers are with his family.

    Johnna Crocker
    - Green Bay, WI

My deepest sympathies go out to the family, friends and coworkers of Jim Vincent. He was hired by County Rescue after my husband Mark's death in 2004 so I did not have the pleasure of knowing him or his family. My husband was a paramedic with County Rescue and was associated with Tom Madigan and the County Rescue team for many years up until his sudden death. Mark loved flying in the helicopters and had such respect for the pilots. I watched both Eagle III helicopters fly over Mark's funeral and will never forget the kindness and generosity County Rescue has shown me. It hurts me to watch them have to go through this tragedy and my heart goes out to all of them. God bless all of them and especially Jim's wife and children.

Jan Zvara, wife of Mark Zvara(1953-2004)
    - Green Bay, WI

It is so heartbreaking to see this site come up black, knowing that we have lost yet another member of the EMS family.

My deepest sympathies to the family, friends, and co-workers of Mr. Vincent in this time of grief and sadness.

It is hard to think that the pain will ever ease, but your memories of him in the days, weeks, and months ahead will help to heal the hole in your hearts and lives.

Jim was a room-mate of mine while we were both attending Coast Guard Officer Candidate Training in Yorktown, VA. He quickly became a very close friend and brother. I was inspired by Jim's pleasant personality, supportive friendship and high moral character. I can honestly say that he was amongst the best men that I have ever met. Knowing his firm Christian beliefs, I have no doubt on where Jim is at the moment, and I want to say thanks Jim for giving me the chance to be your friend.
