Ochsner Flight CareNew Orleans, LAJob Description Ochsner Clinic Foundation is seeking a full-time Flight Nurse responsible for transporting critically ill patients. Our teams have extensive experience in advanced airway techniques, hemodynamic monitoring and light physiology and are additionally skilled in the transportation of premature infants, neonates, pediatrics, high-risk obstetrical, and critical adult patients. Qualifications Registered Nurse with a current Louisiana license and five years of critical care experience. ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC are required. A neonatal transport course is required during orientation. Must possess a valid US passport. Preferences Critical Care certification. Air medical, pediatric and neonatal experience is preferred. Background Info Ochsner Flight Care, a full service emergency transport program, is a division of one of the Gulf South.s leading medical institutions. The Ochsner Clinic Foundation.s main campus, located in New Orleans, remained open during Hurricane Katrina and is fully operational. The Ochsner Flight Care teams consist of a Flight Nurse and Flight Paramedic or two Flight Nurses. Transport service is provided primarily by helicopter . a Sikorsky S-76A, a duel pilot, IFR certified and medically equipped aircraft. The service area encompasses a 250-mile radius via rotor wing aircraft including the Gulf South and offshore platforms.
