New Magazine Launched for Aeromedical Professionals

    Press Releases

Bristol, UK, 26 February 2008 – A new magazine has been launched to cater for the air medical community. Waypoint AirMed & Rescue was launched this week by Voyageur Publishing, and aims to cover all aspects of both rotary and fixed-wing air ambulance services. With an international focus, the magazine has a mix of news, analysis and features, with dedicated sections for providers, pilots, medical crew, commercial carriers, maintenance and cutting-edge technology.

The first issue has contributions from industry insiders, including Karen Chamberlain of Air Ambulance Professionals, who asks how to eliminate emotion from the decision to fly, and aviation medicine expert Dr Terry Martin, with an article on cabin pressurisation.

The magazine is published on a quarterly basis and is available through the Waypoint website, where readers can sign up for a subscription or download issue one for free.

“Combining a mix of news, features, spotlights, industry debate and technical papers, Waypoint is a one-stop shop for up-to-the minute knowledge on all things air rescue – medical equipment, fuel-saving technologies, real-life case studies, technical papers from industry thought leaders and much, much more,” said Ian Cameron, editor-in-chief of Waypoint magazine. “We can’t wait to hear what people think of the first issue. It’s only by getting comments and contributions from the industry that we can make this the magazine that people want to read.”
