RE: Neuromuscular blockade monitoring.
Scott,
The previous company that I worked for out in Arizona had a few crewmembers that used them. Our transport times were over 1 hour in some instances so it was beneficial to us to have them.
This was not a mandatory tool. Just a couple of the Flight Medics got interested in using them and it went from there. My wife is an Anesthesiologist and uses them frequently in the OR, so she has been able to teach me alot of the finer points in their use, aside from the standard "Train of Four" monitoring. Also, she has been able to get us a few from the reps at the hospital free of charge, so a few of us have our own.
