Re: ER 11/20 HELICOPTER CRASH

Really, the cause of the accident was to kill off the *&% *%$#@ surgeon who didn't change his ways after losing a limb in a stupid air medical accident. Man did you see the look on his face when he looked up and saw the A/C falling on him. I guess that bad Karma is bad Karma.

I agree, Kevin. This episode elicited alot of WORTHWHILE conversation amongst my ER(non-flying and flying types)peers. Yes, we all accepted it was just a T.V. show, but it had some very real issues that have already been discussed in this forum. Okay, maybe ER needed a ratings boost, but this particular episode has gotten alot of attention from us, hasn't it!? Positive attention, I think!! Just an opinion....

OK Mr. M, YOU seem to have missed the point of the whole discussion. That
point was that IF it were a REAL crash, then what would the contributing
factors have been. I believe I can speak for everyone who contributed to
the thread when I say that NO ONE thought it really happened. Come on, do
you think the people on this list are that stupid? The episode just gave us
all something to think about...and that is SAFETY. Sure, it was a model
that went down in flames and no one really got killed BUT we all know that
if anyone of us gets complacent in our job, especially working around a hot
helicopter, an accident CAN and WILL happen.
