Re: Assessment of orientees

We use a form that lists all the skills and knowledge base criteria.
skill or knowledge set has a scale of 1 to 5.

At the end of each week the orientee is given the form. By the end of
the orientation period all the critical criteria should be up to the 5.
Which is minimal entry level for an FN or FRT.
Our Orientation time is approximately 4-6 weeks so this gives
opportunity for them to receive 4 to 6 written feed back forms. Forces
the trainer to sit down and assess the situation each week also and be
accountable to the progress or non progress of the process.

Ladies and Gentlemen:

I would like to poll everyone to see what (or if) your program uses to

formally assess an orientee's needs for an orientation program. I am
in the process
of re-organizing the orientation program and would like to develop a
tool
that allows the orientee to assess strenghts and weaknesses.

If you have such a tool, would you be willing to share it, either on or
off
the list?

Thank you in advance!!
