Thanks
to the many of you who sent stories, links, data, etc.
The
bottom line appears, still, to be that it IS ILLEGAL to use them in
flight.
I note that I flew commercially the other day, and they are announcing that the
restrictions have been loosened, as the Flight Attendants announced it is NOW
Permissable to use your phone once the aircraft has landed, and is taxiing to
the gate. Still not OUT FROM the gate or in-flight though. Please do use
caution in opening the overhead bins to get your phone
out...
As I
am still looking for a specific solution to MY problem (my cellphone problem...)
If anyone on the list meets the following criteria, PLEASE email me direct
:
a) RW
operation
b) You
routinely use cellphones in flight
c)
Your vendor is Metro Aviation of Shreveport.
TIA
