Flight Paramedic Job Analysis Survey

Attention all practicing flight paramedics:

The Board for Critical Care Transport Paramedic Certification (BCCTPC) has mailed out a Job Analysis survey to nearly 1,000 air medical paramedic professionals. This is a national study to create and validate the job description of paramedics who complete their duties in the air medical transport environment.  By filling out this survey, you have the unique opportunity to give your opinions about the job-related tasks of flight paramedics and, ultimately, help determine the content of future Certified Flight Paramedic (FP-C) examinations.  Applied Measurement Professionals, Inc. (AMP), experts in conducting job analysis studies, has been hired to the Board of Critical Care Transport Paramedic Certification (BCCTPC) with this process. If you have received this survey by mail, please strongly consider completing and returning the document. If you have not received a survey and would like to participate, a copy of the letter from the BCCTPC and the survey can be found at the following addresses.

The survey should be printed, completed and mailed to the address given in the directions. Your confidential participation is essential to guarantee a representative sample from a qualified group of currently active professionals. The results of the national survey will be used to select topics for which test questions will be written and incorporated into the certification test. A Job Analysis Survey is an essential and expensive project for the BCCTPC to undertake, but it is necessary to validate the FP-C examination thus enhancing its credibility and value to those who will earn it.
