FW: Safety and the Specialty Team

I was wondering if I couldn't get some input on safety and specialty teams. Many air medical and some ground services work with neonatal or pediatric (dedicated or unit based) transport teams.  I have the following questions for the list:

1.  What type of safety training do you require for your specialty teams and how often is it required?

2.  Do you feel that specialty teams receive the same safety training as the primary air or ground medical service?

3.  What do you feel are the biggest challenges for the primary service providers when it comes to safety and the specialty team?

4.  What do you feel are the biggest challenges for the specialty team when it comes to safety?

5.  Does your team require a primary crew member to accompany the specialty team on transport? Does this crew member take the place of recurrent safety training?

6. What programs or training has your team implemented for the specialty team that has improved safety for the specialty team?

7. Do you have a specialty team representative on the primary services safety committee?

Sorry this is so long.  Don't feel you have to answer every question to give me your input.  I'll take whatever I can get. Thanks
