Re: Too funny (Part II)

Wow,
I must say that I am the typical lurker.  I have been on the job for a long time and just thought I would add my 1/2 cent to this one.   With this particular debate running around, all of us should just put our mutual profession into perspective.  We all practice critical care.  The critical care that varies somewhat from State to State.
We are not the only group haggling over what is appropriate but innovative.  Just from my experience, in South Dakota at one of the University Hospitals, the anesthesia dept. will not turn loose diprivan to the ER Physicians.  Where I am practicing now the flight team routinely uses diprivan.  (Notice I say flight team!)  So who is wrong?
If there is a new tool, procedure, or wonder drug out there, I want to hear about it!  So someone tell me about benefits, risks, experiences.  That's what this group is about!  Come back to 2500 AGL and stop being soo competitive!
