RE: scene flight blood & pericardiocentesis

We do not carry blood but are trained to do pericardiocentesis.
Naturally this is only done as a last resort or absolute signs and
symptoms are present to indicate the need for this procedure.
Personally I have never done one, but do recall 3 cases where I would
have used it if I had been trained (since we got it approved, I haven't
had any cases to perform this procedure on, that's how it goes isn't
it).
