Subject: Passenger Briefings

My distinguished colleagues:
We are solidifying our policies for carrying family members as PAX on interfacility flights (RW, BK-117)and I'd like to ask of the group, who are able to carry PAX, in the RW setting :

  • Do you have a written policy?
  • Does it include a written briefing/info card? Signed Liablilty release?
  • Who's responsibility is it to brief (medic, nurse/rt, pilot, whole crew) ?
  • Do you prohibit it or allow it?
  • What specifically do you do if there's a problem with the PAX, or the pt. crumps?
  • Where do they ride, or is it dependant upon the pt?

Any other info would be great.  Please feel free to reply private, or to the group.

TIA.
