RE: ongoing education
Andrew,
We fly Nurse Paramedic team and our on-going requirements are as
follows. Current, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, plus TNCC for the nurses and
BTLS for the Medics. Recurrent skills labs for chest tubes and surgical
airways. We are currently in the process of ensuring that all medical
team members have completed ATLS audit and NREMT-P for the medics. Nurse
must hold a national certification. CEN, CCRN or CFRN are acceptable.
Nurses must also maintain EMT licensure.
Hope this is helpful.

Subject: ongoing education
Hey all,
I am doing some research for a project and would appreciate any
input. What are the continuing education, publication, or research
requirements for your flight programs for paramedics and nurses??? Do
all services require ACLS, PALS/ENPC, NRP and/or a trauma cert. (ATLS,
PHTLS, FNATC, etc.)????? Any help would be appreciated. Please
include your program name and typical crew configuration (all will be
kept in confidence) Thanks
