-----Original Message-----A delayed response to the April discussion about neonatal hearing protection. It sounds as though some programs are fortunate to have noise attenuating isolettes. Please keep in mind that not all isolettes provide that protection.

Subject: Isolette Noise Reduction
We had our industrial hygienist put a dosimeter in our isolette while we flew it around, and the interior noise level was 90 dB during all flight operations. The cabin noise level was about 95 dB.
