Re: Crew Rest and Hospital Duties



What does it take to become a "recognized" crewmember?  I have attempted to
read through some of FAR 135, and it is like reading the owner's manual for
a 747.
To be a "crewmember" must you be a pilot, or is there
a position outside of "pilot".   FAR 135.271 has a basis of information for
Helicopter hospital emergency medical evacuation services, however it only
seems to underline duty pilot times and such?  Can anybody help make sense
of
this junk?  Thanks for the help.
