I am trying to find out how other rotor programs deal with cabin
temperatures in the summer and how they store medications. Do you have a
way to cool your aircraft cabins on the helipad and do you store meds in any
particular way?
Like a lot of the other folks here have said, we use a highly sophisticated system involving a window A/C unit from Home Depot, a cart, an extension cord and a home-made duct into the aircraft. Works quite well for both BK's and BO. With the BO, we also had to figure out a way to cover some of the glass in the summer...too many windows in that little thing! Basically used a big version of the standard car shade concept.
In winter, we do the same thing in reverse...heat blown into aircraft.
Good luck,
