Thank you for your interest in our very painful and frustrating situation! It is very heartwarming to see that others in our area recognize what a loss to our community this change will bring. I agree that the other providers in our area will continue to provide quality service to our region. My biggest concern is for the children and neonates we serve (or should I say served). We will be forced to eliminate our ground transport team for the neonates and pediatric patients in our vicinity. No other air ambulance service in our area can provide this service................who will transport these patients to a higher level of care????? That is the most difficult component of this budget cut!
I also feel that many programs may suffer the same fate in the future. As I respect your comments and support, I would urge you to send comments directly to our program and leave the web postings to issues that the whole flightweb community can benefit from. As much as I think the world revolves around me (HA HA), this is really small potatoes for the air medical industry at large!!
