RE: Etomidate
We use Etomidate in the sedation phase of our RSI protocol at .3mg/kg, and
it works very well. We use succinylcholine as the paralytic. Like others,
once the procedure is completed, we follow up with Versed and Vecuronium. I
have not had a problem with hypotension yet. We haev also used it to RSI
some pediatrics.
