Re: pt. consent
I am certainly no attorney and would like to hear an attorney's response to
all of these answers. My thought, if the pt is an adult and altered then
implied consent allows you to due what is in the pt.'s best interest (the
level 1). Can the family make medical decisions for this pt prior to
someone higher than us determining the pt. to be unable to make decisions
for themselves? I'm sure this probably happens all the time but where is
the legal line drawn?
