Sorry Lisa, I have to disagree.

Blind obedience is not good to either good patient care or safety in my opinion. It has a valid place in the military etc, but not when taking a patient from a more-or-less non life-threatening environment (the scene or hospital) and putting them into one (the helicopter/aircraft
/ambulance). 

Both as a patient advocate and provider, it is our RESPONSIBILITY to question any planned intervention (including transport) and perform them appropriately/safely or find/create an alternative that IS safe.

I would have to agree with you...as healthcare providers, we all have a twisted and sometimes dark sense of humor...but some of our comments should be reserved for private moments. 

We've all gone through the "Patient Confidentiality" lecture when we oriented....and we've all seen the example about how making a snide comment in a public area can destroy one's career. 

Keep it funny guys...but tasteful.
