Re: Air vs. Critical Care Ground criteria

Title: Message
Yes - same crew configuration and training. Same equipment capabilities. At least that is our plan. We are looking for some evidence regarding which pateints will require the speed vs. the skill. Right now it seems to based on hunches and I realize that we may not be able to get any more specifc than that. Just interested in how other programs advise the sending facility if they need the assitance in making that decision. We would like to be consitent in our advice from our dispatch center and our transport coordinator as needed.

Subject: RE: Air vs. Critical Care Ground criteria

Are your air and ground crews able to do the same thing for the patient?  If not, this would be difficult to discuss.  Otherwise, as I see it, the only criteria, per se, would be the speed or efficiency of the aircraft.

Subject: Air vs. Critical Care Ground criteria

Looking for inclusion / exclusion criteria for utilization of air vs. critical care ground trasnport. We have a criteria list for a critical care patient, but not for the mode of transport. Any info is appreciated!
