RE: Safety



The statement below regarding losing an engine is FALSE. However, the data shows that single-engine aircraft DO have a high safety record. Dual engines are more expensive, but not doubled.

I have flown in both, the pilots state that 2 engines are better that one if that is what they are flying, the single engine rw pilots state if you have one engine go out by the time you get the other engine trimmed to take over you have hit the ground. If you look at the data on expense the 2 engine aircraft are twice as expensive.
