Email Virus information
There has been a noticeable increase in the number of emails sent to the
mailing list that contain viruses. The majority of these are being caught
before being sent on to list subscribers, but there is a chance that
once in a while one might get through.
The most common email virus right now is the Klez worm. This one works by
going through the infected computer's address book and substituting the
From: address with another name in the address book. It then sends out a
fake message and sometimes attaches random files. If one of these
falsified addresses happens to be a Flightmed subscriber, then the virus
message could slip through.
Please make sure that you have an updated anti-virus program on your
computer. If you use Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express, it's highly
recommended that you consider using a different email program (Pegasus,
Eudora) that is much less vulnerable to email viruses.
