We have been using the FAST 1 for about 2 years, and I have used it 3 times without any problems. It is a very fast and easy form of vascular access. As for the sternum vs ankle. Not everyone has good access to the lower extremities depending on you aircraft, however we should all have great access to the chest during a flight.
