RE: Computerized documentation
We started using EMS Pro from Pinpoint about 7-8 months ago. We use a Panasonic Toughbook laptop for documentation and can also use our PC at our work stations once we return from the flight. The software is obviously geared more towards ground ambulance work, but is getting better. We all feel fairly proficient at it now, but it'll still take at least 1 hour to complete the entire record before it's ready to be printed. It prints out to be on 5-6 pages and then we need to make 6 copies of that to file for all the designated areas that we have. The charting is getting better, as we are able to suggest changes where we feel they need to be made. If you have further questions, let me know!

Subject: Computerized documentation
Hi folks,
We are in the beginning stages of exploring the world of computer
documentation for our rotor wing airmedical program. So far we have
discovered 4 systems 1) digital ink, computer charting concepts; 2)
Pinpoint; 3) EMS solutions; and 4) Amazon. I was wondering if anybody
has any comments on these systems and do you know of any other systems
available. We are wanting a portable system ( laptop, toughbook) that
will decrease our charting and paperwork time. Plus give us an
opportunity to query data for statistics and performance inprovement
projects. Thanks.
