As posted by someone else, it depends on whether or not you are considered
'exempt' under the Fair Labor and Standards Act (FLSA.) Just because you
are paid a salary does not mean that you are 'exempt' from being paid
overtime. Generally, unless they are in management, hire/fire people,
etc., very few flight crew members providing direct patient care as their
primary job are exempt. There are tons of web sites with more information
on this issue, but one of the better sites with good explanations is at:

http://www.overtimelawyer.com/

The pilots in the industry should also be considering this issue. Most
line pilots are paid salaries and many do not receive overtime pay for
working past their 12 hour shifts, etc. Again, a phone call to your
state's department of labor should clarify the situation fairly quickly.
