James:
I used the Zoll M-Series monitor on a King Air and
Cessna 421 without any problems. Once the patient was loaded into a ground
ambulance, we would experience trouble with the NIBP and artifact on the Cardiac
Monitor. Like you, we would have to hold the monitor in the air to take BP's and
print strips. The Zoll rep stated the vibrations should not affect the Zoll and
was sent back to the manufacture. I left the company before it was placed back
on the AC.
Good Luck

Subject: ZOLL M-SERIES NIBP IN
FLIGHT
I'M LOOKING FOR FEEDBACK FROM
OTHER SERVICES THAT USE THE ZOLL CRITICAL CARE M-SERIES IN BK-117
AIRCRAFT.
WE ARE HAVING DIFFICULTY OBTAINING NIBPs IN FLIGHT WITH OUR
MONITOR EITHER HANGING ON A RACK OR SITTING ON THE FLOOR. WE ARE ABLE TO
OBTAIN PRESSURES WHILE LITERALLY HOLDING THE MONITOR IN MID-AIR, BUT NEEDLESS
TO SAY THIS ISN'T QUITE CONVIENENT. OUR PROPAQ WORKS JUST FINE, SO WE
ARE TRYING TO ISOLATE THE PROBLEM TO DETERMINE IF IT'S JUST A COMBINATION OF
THAT MONITOR AND THAT TYPE OF AIRCRAFT.
ANYONE THAT HAS EXPERIENCED
SIMILIAR PROBLEMS WITH THIS MONITOR, I'D APPRECIATE ANY INSIGHT TO YOUR
SOLUTIONS.
THANKS,
JAMES "SCOOTER" GREEN FLIGHT
