Dave,
The accident review book I have from Breiling and associates only has a
table comparing single vs dual pilots in turbopro airplanes My guess is
(and its strickly a guess) these airplanes can leaglly be flown single
pilot or dual pilot. Second guess is that there may not be enough data
on dual pilot helicopter operations.
Again as you get into larger an more complex equipment at some point the
FAA Requires two pilots. This FAA requirement can sometimes happen with
helicopters for instance some helicopters can be flown IFR without an
autopilot but WITH a second pilot.
