We have 2 classes of traumas a yellow and a red.
They are based on different criteria(I can let you know the exacts if you would
like) They are mostly based on the ACOS criteria. The difference Is the Yellow
gets the trauma senior/junior and the med students and the RN's. The Red gets
the Attending with all the others as well as Anesthesia, RT, Xray etc. We know
the criteria and even if we have a patient that doesn't fall in the "red"
category- in the air when we call report we can tell the ED to make it a
red.
