MRL PIC unit

At the program where I work, we bought two new MRL PIC units last year
to replace the aging Pro-Paq/LP-10 combos on our two primary aircraft.

We had previously demo'd the MRL, the Zoll M, and the LP-12. We were
most impressed with the interface, simplicity, and overall durability of the
MRL unit. And we loved the 12-lead software.

However, when we received the units (which were a couple weeks late),
the cartons were missing most of the attachments (leads and hoses) as well as
the charging units. We called our rep with a list of what was missing and
were told they'd be sent ASAP by overnight mail.

Several weeks later (I'm not exagerrating at all), we finally got a
box from MRL. We opened it to find that it was STILL MISSING some of the
important equipment.

I am told that throughout all this, the rep from MRL was less than
helpful and didn't seem overly concerned with our satisfaction. So we packed
the units back up, shipped them back to MRL, and we are now spec'ing out two
new Zoll CCT monitors with all the bells and whistles.

We never had any problems with the units themselves - we demo'd them
on our AC for about a month or so, and most of us loved them; after all, we
intially chose them over both the Phyiso and the Zoll. But my program
couldn't commit that kind of money to units that came with such poor customer
service and support....

Maybe it was an isolated incident, who knows - just relating my
experience with the units.
