Being in a system without a "DNR" policy, it is up to the discretion of the
medic on duty. While I'm sure this exposes us to possible litigation, it does
free us to our beliefs. Some feel "DNR" does not mean to let die without
honor, dignity, nor comfort. Sometimes medevac best suits these needs.
Others feel that to tie up the county's only helo with a "DNR" when you
could have a kid, with a fighting chance suffer trauma, is a crime. You
just can't please 'em all...........................
