We do IJ's and Sub clavians in the 911 setting (pretty rare, but we still do it), we dont do fem's due to MD preferance. Right now we dont do Adult IO but it has perked some interest on the risk/benifit and training discussion.

I am attempting to convince our medical director of the need for a back up IV access in the event that peripheral IV access is unsuccessful. We are contemplating using single lumen femoral venous access. Any flight teams out there utilizing femoral central lines? Policies / protocols associated with it? Your input would be greatly appreciated.
