History of Choppers in medical evacuation

Dear Listmembers

As mentioned earlier in this forum, I am researching
the history of "Helicopters in Medical evacuation and
transit care of the critically ill".  I wish to thank
many who responded on and off the list. I am indeed
grateful.

I wonder if any of you could help me.  I am looking
for some photographs of the following.  If you are
able to help me please e-mail them to my home e-mail
ID : "ramesh@bigpond.net.au "  (broadband and larger
memory).

a) Ms Lauretta Schimmoler - who envisioned flight
nursing in the 1930's and 40's.  As many may know she
was the founder of ANC - Aerial Nursing Corps which
sort of metamorphosed in to the US Airforce Flight
Nursing Corps.

b) Second Lieutenant Ruth Gardiner - the first flight
nurse to be killed in action (1943) in the Aleutians.

c) I am also after a nice photgraph of the Gardiner
General Hospital, Chicago (named in Ruth's honour)

d) Any photographs of the use of chopper for medevac
use in the Korean War.

All contributions will be duly and gratefully
acknowledged in any presentation and publication that
may emnate from this project of mine.

I also wish to ascertain if there is a professional
regulatory body (like the FAA) where I may be able to
get some statistics - like how many choppers are
regsitered for medevac use in USA, the statewise
distribution and such other numbers.
