Conscious Sedation
Greetings to all! As with many paramedic systems who
want to give their paramedics "something" to help them
intubate their patients, we have a protocol that
allows them to use Cetacaine spray and Versed up to 10
mg. I am aware that many of our hospital's
departments use (by physician order) many combinations
of meds such as Versed/Fentanyl, Versed/Nubain, etc.
For programs that have exposure to prehospital
teaching and/or protocol development, is there
anything out there short of full RSI? Any combo
platters?
