EC 145

Hi,

For those interested in the EC-145, here is a link to numerous pictures of the first EC-145 in service with the French Civil Defense (Sécurité Civile). The EC-145 will be used in rescue and EMS missions.

The French Gendarmerie (State wide paramilitary police force) will also acquire soon the first EC-145 fitted for police duties.

The EC 145 mock-up that I saw looks like the cockpit of a 135 and the rear of a 117.  The entire cabin is open, however.  It is totally open from the back to the cockpit, no wall to separate the cockpit from the rear cabin.  It is also supposed to out perform almost everything else in it's class.  You can look at the specs on Eurocopter's web site. Eric E.
