G'day everyone,

I was wondering how many programs are currently regularly /permanently using physicians/medical officers in their crew configuration? The last survey I could find was back in 1996 by Sweeney Crowther et al. in the Air Medical Journal, 'Mission, Staffing, and Budget Data of Flight Programs in the US'.

Is it still around the 6-7% mark? Im not looking for reports of medical directors who fly x1 per month, but on a frequent basis.

Anecdotal reports are ok, journals are better, and stats...well... fantastic!

Cheers, that'd be grrreeaat!
