Re: FlightWeb Group Therapy
Dan,
The same thing happened and still happens to me. I
have three wee'uns and every now and then I get bad,
BAD dreams. The odd conscious thought that tries to
creep in I can shut out pretty quickly.
Mark it up to the nature of the beast that makes up
the kind of people we are. Health care professionals
have an inherent need to help people and the good ones
anticipate what can go wrong. The absolute worst case
scenario would involve our own families.
Although I am not a professional therapist, I think
that the presence of these thoughts are normal. How
they affect you is a different story. If it begins to
change your normal patterns or affect your work or
home life, then talk it out with a professional
counsellor. That's what they get paid for and trust
me, IT FEELS GOOD. It if begins to fester, then it
has the potential to eat you up and spit you out. The
world has seen enough of good poeple spun around by
this line of work.
Take care. It sounds like you already have it in
order. A problem stated is a problem half solved.
