I have to agree with Brent on this one. We also do minimal crics per year as
we also have high success with intubations. The cric. is our only back up
also, we practice in cadaver lab to keep up skills. Dr. Red Duke, our medical
director, prefers the vertical cut with #10 scalpel, spread the rings with
hemostat, then insert a cut #6 ETT.
