Re: Books

We received the ATLS books prior to taking the course. Some of us even volunteered to share our books with in-coming employees to save program costs. We keep a copy of this book at each base. I had an excellent experience as an RN auditor at the University of Kentucky. They let us work in the animal lab. We also took the written test and the practical skills station. The instructors gave us scenarios as we would see them in the field or presented at an outlying facility. The University of Cincinnatti also did the same for our employees who attended there. They had great experiences, as well. Overall, it is a great course, especially if you don't get the opportunity to attend another advanced trauma course!
