Drugs are issued to each at beginning of employment and are personal responsibility. Can be carried home or left in secure storage at base (we do call-back to staff 2 reserve aircraft). Replacement narc's signed out from storage as required. Used narc's logged with trip number/pt. name etc per regs. 1st Monday of month all staff in so CFN can verify narc count (storage count/drug sheets/issue narcs). Different, but works for us. Haven't had ant issues with govt. or missing drugs x 7 years so far. Fly Safe. I was wondering how other services keep track of the narc counts. Do you count every shift or everytime a crew member is switched out. We work 24s but some people may do a 12 hour shift.
