Re: King Air B200 - Configuring For Medical Interior

Hi,
My name is Duane Wright RN I am the cheif flight nurse for Eagle Med in Goodland Kansas.  We fly King Air C-90.  I think that carpet in a plane use for medical transport is not a good idea.  Blood, vomit and other non discussable will seep into the carpet and remain in the fibers and backing of the carpet.  A rubber type of floor is better for sanitation and ease of cleaning.  Hep B & C viruses will remain on object for a long period of time.  something to think about.

Subject: King Air B200 - Configuring For Medical Interior

Hi all,

We will soon be outfitting a King Air B200 for a hospital client. My concern is with the floor covering. Is there a sanitary issue using carpet instead of some sort of aircraft vinyl floor covering? What type of floor covering would you all recommend and why?

Thank you,
