The "high volume" component is viewed more of as an exposure to many different situations. Having worked rural EMS in a county where there was not a hospital and the closest trauma center was 45 minutes, I can appreciate the art required to care for the patient. But this service did not run but 60 calls a month between (2) units.

And to answer your questions, yes, Grady EMS qualifies as a high volume service.
