Interstate/provincial/national liability

For all of us who transport patients between
facilities. How does your organization rationlize
professional liability when you are out of your "home
state/province or country"? Most of us (I assume)
hold professional certification in our home
state/province only and if we worked on the ground we
would be required to pass additional certification
requirements.

Do you hold additional personal professional liability
insurance or does your employer cover that?

Although most of our patients are stable and require
minimal interventions, there are circumstances where
we have to perform ACLS skills prior to the delivery
of the patient.

Thanks,
