Re: Zoll M series
We use it on fixed wing (bush planes as well as dedicated) and like it - although wish had got CCT instead of regular M series as no temperature capability. Protect the NIBP line from cabin vibration - it picks up artifact VERY easily - especially on ground.
The "Extreme pack" front panel is a pain. The self-adhesive velcro that is supposed to hold it on doesn't. We had to make a webbing strap/plastic buckle that runs accross the base of the monitor (between the blue rubber protectors/paddle holders) to hold the cover panel down (against the face) when not in use, and straps that attach to the top of the panel and secure it to the carry bag on the rear of the monitor. The two end bags are nice to hold CO2 and ECG accessories, especially as we use hands-free and not paddles.
However, in order to secure it to a stretcher rack we had to develop a webbing "Y" that runs from the top strap mount on each side through a webbing adjustement/buckle then splits to the two end mounting points on the ferno Rack-Pac thingy (technical word). Not STC'd for 25G but seems to work well in heavy turbulance and heavy handed landings/short field takeoffs.
Does anyone know if there is an extension available for the SpO2 line? or an aftermarket adaptor that will mate to the first section of SpO2 cord (or the monitor's SpO2 socket) and allow the use of "Nonin" style sensors?
