RE: Analgesics



 
MS, Demerol (seldom used) with benzo's (Ativan, versed, valium) as an adjunct, pretty much like most others, but we also carry etomidate for short painful procedures (sync. cardioversion, etc) I would be interested in seeing the thoughts on alternatives to Demerol as well, I here Seattle /King Co went to fentanyl.

Mike,
In talking with one of the docs in the ED last Pm dilaudid was his suggestion.  Our clinical coordinator is interested in utilizing fentanyl.  Thanks for the info.
