In light of recent discussions on the list, I am curious. We also work 24/48 hour shifts at our satellite base but are only compensated for 14.5 hours in a 24 hour period (take out meal times and sleep time). If we work between the hours of 3-5am we will gain an extra 8 hours of pay (if we do not get 5 hours of uninterrupted sleep)-although we are required to be there for a full 24 hours. How many other programs out there are being compensated on a partial basis? If you would like to respond privately, do so, but I feel the list might like this info...especially those of us who are trying to change the current compensation plan! Thanks in advance!
